On the record of cosmonaut O.D.Kononenko's stay on the ISS

On June 4 of this year, at 16:01 Houston time, another milestone in the history of space exploration was reached - the total time spent in orbit by the commander of the International Space Station, head of the Roscosmos cosmonaut team, and Hero of Russia, Oleg Dmitrievich Kononenko, amounted to 1,000 days.

The Consul General of Russia in Houston, A.G. Markov, on behalf of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the USA, A.I. Antonov, and all colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, congratulated the distinguished cosmonaut via video link from the Mission Control Center at the Johnson Space Center on this outstanding achievement and new record. Test cosmonaut I.V. Wagner, who plans to replace the current Russian crew on the ISS in September along with commander A.N. Ovchinin and American D. Pettit, and other Russian representatives also joined in the congratulations.

During the conversation, they managed to discuss the ongoing experiments on board, which O.D. Kononenko, as a special correspondent for TASS on the station, reports about in Russian publications, including on the relevant Telegram channel, as well as relations with the American astronauts on board and spacewalks. They wished O.D. Kononenko and the entire Russian crew continued success, new achievements for the benefit of Russia and all humanity, and most importantly - good health and a safe return home!
